Testimonials

Learning Mentor – Salford Primary School

The campaign has had a real impact on the profile of attendance and punctuality. For my children, the reward of a badge and Top Trumps has been enough of an incentive to galvanise their support. The teachers are logging any late arrivals in minutes because we decided that it was very important to alert children and parents of the amount of time lost. My continued presence on the playground at the start of the day reinforces this and regular reference in assembly just keeps the momentum going. We are planning to extend our campaign into the Summer Term using allocated funding from our EIP (Education Improvement Partnership) to purchase the badges, prizes etc

The Attendance Challenge has worked very well in our school it was very easy to follow your instructions and it was great to see the children’s faces when they received their badges. They are so proud wearing them too. I believe the Attendance Challenge has made a difference to our attendance which is fantastic…

MOTIV have been extremely professional and energetic in how they organised the attendance campaign. Their experience of the entertainment world has lead to us to being able to label excellent attendance as “cool” in Oldham. Its amazing the impact it’s had on student’s attitude towards school attendance. I never realized how popular Top Trumps, rewards cards, and badges could be, the impact on the students has amazing.
School Attendance Improvement Service – Oldham

The School Attendance Challenge organised by Motiv has been particularly welcomed by children and young people in Salford schools. Whilst many young people have voiced strong appreciation for the incentives which inspire. Aspirations to achieve, many have also commented on the inclusive nature of the campaign. Therefore all children and young people have the opportunity to participate and can succeed irrespective of individual circumstances.
Head of Service – Salford

The pupils have definitely responded well to the campaign, and I think this is because of what is available to them if they achieve 100% – MOTIV have really got it right when it comes to the things that motivate our pupils
Year 9 Head – Oldham

The Attendance Challenge really motivated pupils and nearly 16,000 pupils in schools citywide successfully completed it. This fantastic prize is an extra bonus to reward the pupils who put in a special effort to improve their attendance during the challenge and big thanks go to MOTIV for all their hard work in arranging it.
Manchester City Council’s Executive Member Children’s Services

We have much appreciated your input to helping us to improve attendance here at school – not an easy task – but nevertheless I’m sure this will have a lasting effect on at least these two pupils who will then go on to encourage others to follow suit. Hopefully we will work with you again in the future.

When I get up in the morning and I don’t feel that good, I always think about the attendance challenge and it makes me want to pull myself together and go into school.

Before the attendance challenge I used to just stay off if I felt a little ill but now if I am ill on a school day I always think to myself am I really too ill to go in.

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to live in a popworld experience. I really enjoyed myself and my day. To be honest I enjoyed every single moment and everything that we did. This has really inspired me a lot after what I saw in London at the channel four studios and I am going to work extra hard. Thank you so much.
